Diamond Bakery has been serving the community with delicious Jewish-style baked goods and breads since 1977.   Generations have enjoyed our World-Famous 7 Layer Cakes, sprinkle cookies, rugelach, babkas, hamantaschen, challahs, and rye breads.

 

Edward and Mitzi Seid sold Jewel Bakery which was located in Southfield’s Harvard Row Mall in the mid-1970’s, and opened Diamond Bakery with two associates at the former Shopping Center Market in the Orchard Mall.   Diamond Bakery opened at its current location (next to Pickles & Rye Deli in the West Bloomfield Plaza) in 1978.    

 

In 1981, Donna Smielewski and her husband purchased Diamond Bakery, and operated the bakery with other family members for over 40 years.  Daniel Buckfire, David Schechter, and Stacy Fox purchased Diamond Bakery in November 2021.    Our goal is to continue to provide the finest Jewish-style baked goods and provide lasting memories for future generations to come.
